I like to keep our family up-to-date with events and photos from our lives. It makes it seem like we are not hundreds of miles away.
Thank you for visiting our blog. We love seeing your comments!
We certainly will have our work cut out for us as our kids get older. They aren't in school yet and boy they keep us busy! I absolutely love it! If you know me at all, you know I thrive on being busy!
Preventing "beaver marks" on the crib with my own invention. Receiving blankets and zip ties :)
Daddy was shooting hoops outside, everyone wanted to say, "HI!"
excited to see Daddy :)
Now to what keeps us busy... Jacob is crawling, and must have thought it was boring because now he's cruising! He pulled himself up to the couch, saw Kaitlyn's toy on the other side, and walked (while holding the couch) to it! STUNNED!

Kaitlyn was playing with playdough and came to me saying, "Look Mommy! I made a heart!"

Hammin' it up for Mama
We were playing puzzles with Kaitlyn, and gave Jacob a toy to keep him from getting the puzzle pieces, and this is what happened...
Kaitlyn seems to be organized. She is always putting something in a row.
What's been happening in our lives lately? Well... we have a crawler! Jacob has graduated from army crawling to the real thing, and he is REALLY FAST! We have had the chance to slowly adapt to having a mobile baby again, since he's been army crawling since Thanksgiving. He is very curious which has led him to learn how to pull himself up to a standing position. He started pulling himself up right around Superbowl Sunday.

Since Kaitlyn turned 3, she has BLOSSOMED into quite a story teller, imagination play, and quite the artist! She has a lot of her stories memorized by the picture. She can "read" word for word when she sees a page. It's so precious to hear her "reading" to me. Her Bible also has pictures scattered throughout, and she will tell you the correlating story with the picture. Man! She is such a sponge!
she asked me to take a picture of her with Bailey
Last night before bed, Kaitlyn wanted to drive to the store. She got her keys, and we went "driving" to the store. She was pretending to drive using her couch and the ottoman to make a car. It was so funny. I said, "We are at a red light, what do we do?" and Kaitlyn says, "Go people, go!" Then she grabbed a paper bag, filled it with "groceries" (toys), and then put the bag in her "car". It was so cute. I told Mike, if you ever wonder what I sound like with the kids, just listen to Kaitlyn's imaginative play.

Kaitlyn has always been good with shapes, and now her shapes are making real pictures. I saw a picture that looked like a person, and I asked Mike if he drew it. When he said, "no" I asked Kaitlyn to draw a picture for me. I got a video of this :)
