Steps update!

Jacob has taken 3-5 steps at a time!!! I keep trying to catch it on camera, but every time I get the camera on him, he CRAWLS to me. I'll keep trying! :)

One step

I saw it, Daddy saw it... Jacob took ONE step away from the couch on his own. It's only a matter of time before it's many steps! How exciting! Videos to come :)

Jacob at 11 months

Where did the time go???!? I can't believe it's time to start thinking about Jacob's birthday!! He's such a "goober" as we say. He's a silly boy, LOVES (and I mean LOVES) balls! His hand-eye coordination is incredible. He's pretty good at playing catch :)

He is starting to express himself more, he is LOUD. He can say "mama" and "dada," but most of the time he says, "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" as loud as he can.

He is quite the cruiser. He will push ANYTHING that moves just to walk around the house. Jacob will stand about 30 seconds on his own, but he doesn't try taking any steps yet.

 Summer time also means.... Daddy's birthday! I made him a "pool" cake :) He said it reminded him of his childhood neighbor's pool. He loved it!

We will have to get pictures of the kids at our neighborhood pool. BOTH kids LOVE the water :)

The bug is going around

We have had a very busy week, and not in a very fun way. It started with Jacob having a runny nose, which turned into stuffy all over. I took him to the doctor on Tuesday (after ALL the home remedies didn't help him), and find out he had a double ear infection :( poor baby! I had the pediatrician also check Kaitlyn to be sure she looked good. She was all clear. Good! No one else got sick.... except I was wrong...

The rest of the week, Jacob was getting better, but Kaitlyn AND Mama are getting worse. Kaitlyn can't seem to keep her fever away. I was getting a sore throat and stuffy. So I made an appointment, Friday, for Kaitlyn. She (for the FIRST time in 3 years) needs an antibiotic! Doctor said she had a touch of bronchitis. Two kids on antibiotics later... they are feeling better, and I am still fighting it. If I still haven't beat this head cold by Tuesday, I will be at the doctor! Pray that I can get better without a doctor visit, and for Daddy to stay healthy!
