8 weeks of swimming

Here's a progress update on Kaitlyn's swimming lessons. Today is the last day we will be doing swimming lessons until possibly the fall. We have a neighborhood pool that opens in THREE weeks, and we will be practicing our swimming technique all summer. Kaitlyn LOVES to go to the pool, and I am SO glad that we put her in lessons. She has done a GREAT job after 8 weeks, two days a week. I am one proud mama!!!

Look at my little swimmer after only 8 weeks of lessons!
SO PROUD!!!!!

One man game

Jacob has always loved to play ball, but now that he's getting bigger and better with eye-hand coordination... he's becoming quite the sports nut. He enjoys throwing, catching, bouncing, rolling, etc with any kind of ball of all shapes and sizes.

I showed him the toddler baseball glove we have. His eyes lit up like I gave him cotton candy! He was so proud he could hold a ball in the glove, he couldn't put it down. Here's a video to show you what I mean...

I have a feeling there will be many sporting events in our future ;)

Adults can have fun too!

I may have mentioned in a previous post that during the school year our church hosts "Date Night" for parents with young kids. These are GREAT for us, because we get time together and our kids are watched for FREE. We drop our kids off at 6:30pm and get to have a date, then pick them up at 9:30pm. Most of them we are having a social with our Sunday School class for time of fellowship. On Friday, we had a GREAT time of fellowship with our class, with the Superhero Murder Mystery party!

Blue Blaze and Mr. Fabulous
We were given clues and facts to try to figure out who the murderer was.... after reading all the clues I had this feeling that it was me... sure enough... I WAS! And Mr. Fabulous... well.... he was just Fabulous!

Proud Mama Moment

Now that Easter is over, I asked Kaitlyn a question.........

Looks like our daily "Resurrection Egg" really helped her get it! Daddy said, they watched a cartoon version of The Passion of the Christ, and Kaitlyn was telling him, "it's just like my egg!" So awesome! I couldn't be more proud!!!!!!!

Future Jazzerciser?

As some of you may know, I am going through workshop training to become a Jazzercise Instructor. My audition is April 19, and I have so much more preparing to do! To prepare, Jazzercise Inc. sends all trainees a DVD with the routines on them so we can practice. I got the video on and ready, I turned around and found this....

What do you think? Will we be a mother-daughter duo? :)

Sisterly love

Other than the times when they are fighting over a toy.... you can tell they really do love each other. Jacob wants to do everything sister can do, and sister wants to teach him everything she's been taught.

Loves his sister

Here's Kaitlyn teaching Jacob about Paul's missionary journey.

Soft

Jacob is learning how to be gentle with our dogs. It's very sweet that he whispers the word "soft" as he is being "soft". He absolutely LOVES his puppies.

Chauncey doesn't seem so sure....

what a good sport, Bails

Thunder haltime

Mommy performed during the Oklahoma City Thunder's halftime with her Jazzercise friends. Mommy is located in the 3rd row from the right, second person in. The music starts about 2 minutes and 20 seconds into the video. I wish we could do this every week!
