Home from Disney

This video was taken the day before we left. I love this clip!

We have returned home from Disney. Kaitlyn was an excellent traveler! We started out meeting up with Kevin's family at the Ritz Carlton Friday night. Kaitlyn met her 2nd cousin, Parker (parents: Lindsey and Brian Spegal). He's a big boy! Saturday was cousin Marissa's wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony (refreshments served at the ceremony on a HOT Florida day), followed by a tasty steak and crab cake dinner. The wedding was a late night, followed by a relaxing day at a water park.

Kaitlyn's first Disney park was Typhoon Lagoon, and she went in the lazy river! She seemed to like it, but one time around was enough. We had a lot of fun going down Crushin' Gusher water slide, and dodging waves in the massive wave pool. The next day, in the morning Kaitlyn stayed in with Grandma at the resort, while the rest of us went to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) to ride some rides and meet "Honey Darling." She was a funny street character. We went back to the resort to get Kaitlyn and Grandma, and then it was off to Magic Kingdom.

It rained shortly after we arrived to the park, so we stayed covered for a little while, but once the "Share a Dream Come True" parade started, the rain stopped and the sun shined! It got HOT! So we chose rides that were indoors, starting with the newly refurbished Haunted Mansion. Then we went on Small World. Kaitlyn went on both rides, and seems to like them both! After that, we went to dinner and met up with family friends, Rose and Armand. After endless food, we went back to Magic Kingdom to watch "Spectro Magic" parade and "Wishes" fireworks! Kaitlyn slept through the parade, but woke up just in time to watch the fireworks. She loved them!!

The next day, we went to was Epcot. We went on the Finding Nemo ride (Kaitlyn too), and after that Kaitlyn fell asleep. We walked through the countries, and made many trips to the Baby Care Station. Kaitlyn fell asleep while she and Grandma were waiting for the rest of us to ride Test Track. She slept until we got back to our resort! She even slept through "Illuminations, Reflections of Earth" fireworks! We had a rest day on Wednesday, which everyone needed. My sisters and I enjoyed an early birthday present, and had spa treatments at Saratoga Springs Resort. It was WONDERFUL!

On Thursday, we went to another water park, Blizzard Beach. It was rainy when we arrived, then stopped but remained cool. Later in the afternoon, right as we were packing up, the sun came out! Kaitlyn slept most the time that we were there, so no lazy river for her this time. Daddy went on the lazy river many times! Mike and I raced each other down the slides, and he will be the first to tell you that he won. We finished the day eating at Cape May and walking around the Boardwalk. It was a wonderful time, and I am already thinking of when we can go back!! I cannot wait!! I will post pictures later on, my step dad is copying all the pictures he took on a flash drive for me. Check back soon! Until then, enjoy this super cute video of Kaitlyn that I took at the airport on our way home.
